Just for the record, CCUE and FOCE (Flying Operational Clothing Ensemble) are not projects, ithey are an initiatives.
For the majority of the CAF that distinction dose not mean much, but for those that deal with funding the difference between project and initative means a lot.
I think that when the other elements look at the new Canadian Army Service Dress they will want to modernize their uniforms. If only for the fact that the CASD will have different styles of cuts and more flexibility in sizing than the current uniforms, it is also made with more modern fabric...
The sizing info that DSSPM usually provides to industry is from the 2012 Canadian Forces Anthropometric Survey (CFAS) that was done by DRDC Toronto. For the Canadian Army Service Dress they also measured another roughly 500 soldiers to gain additional measurements that were not in the 2012 CFAS.
Shame, I don't know if I would have ended up in the CAF if the reserve unit in Toronto (48th Highlanders) did not give info to my Highschool in Toronto. This led to me joining the Reserves and eventually transferring to the Regular Force.

The Canadian Army had its change of command for the Army Commander going from LGen Jocelyn Paul to LGen Michael Wright.

The chest rig is not part of SOCEM, it is the ISSP vest. SOCEM is waiting for the DICE (Dismounted Infantry Combat Enhancement) project to deliver load carriage and use lessons learned from that project for when it looks at the load carriage.
