I went through this a few years ago. Your answer is in para A. It basically means your new pay increment is adjusted to the nearest monthly amount of what you made pre-spec pay without going below it.
So in your case, according to the 2012 rates of pay, you made 4824$ per month as a Cpl 3...
I've got to say, as the guy underneath working on patients I am opposed to the V-22. We have major issues with the downwash of a Cormorant as it is(dropping trees on Sar Techs and victims, flipping stokes etc) and the Osprey appears to be much worse. I am curious to see what 'helo' applications...
Thanks for all the updates. As a SAR guy this is exciting stuff. I am hoping they don't drop the ball on FWSAR like they did with many aspects of the Cormorant (which I love btw). Oh, and if any industry or military decision makers are reading this, we would like whatever it is in...
There are three officers so far that have given up their commission and become Sar Techs. None of them seemed to have had any issues in doing so, nor do any of them regret their decision. ;D
The direct entry program is no more but could always reappear in the future depending on the trades needs.
Currently you must be a serving CF member to apply. The trade currently has to many Sar Techs to the point that this years course only has six students on it and it sounds like next years...
Just so everyone here is aware 2VP is the best. I was told multiple times that I was in the best platoon of the best company of the best battalion of the best regiment in the world...or was it universe? Either way, it's the best, just ask us. :threat:
'In need' trades doesn't mean you become competitive without basic education. You can apply and 'who knows' but I'd focus on that GED as you will need it no matter where you end up.
Sounds like Garda dropped the ball a bit in your case. They should already have your references from your application...if they misplaced them they should not be contacting you to sort it out.
I would not worry about it to much.
Nice avatar by the way!
Very Cool! Nothing like watching a mass jump.
The C-17 is getting involved in all sorts of military jumping.

We just had a few Sar Techs awarded the Jubilee for their actions on some pretty intense missions. It blows my mind to see them on the same page as Justin Bieber.
