I just have a couple questions that I would like answered, if they are possible to be answered..

1. What is the Regular Officer Training Plan?

2. I am halfway through Grade 11 and would like to know if I would be able to join if I dropped out?

Thanks in advance to anyone who helps me!

1.  It is an officer generation scheme, whereby successful applicants are paid to attend subsidized education at RMC or a civilian university.

2.  Probably not.  While I don't know if High School is a requirement, I suspect absence of a diploma would most likely indicate low academic potential.

Well on forces.ca it says that the person only has to have completed Grade 10.

Not for ROTP.  You have to complete High School.

While it may say that, for 100 vacancies the CF could have 500 applicants, with over 400 of them having at least a high school diploma. Where do you think the ones who dropped out fall in the lists for selection? Your chances at CF selection, and at anything else you may choose to try (especially if applying for the CF doesn't work out) improve with a diploma.

Even if you drop out at 17 and start your application for service as a non-commissioned member (i.e., not an officer), you may find yourself waiting long enough that you could have finished high school before you get a call. Don't assume things will happen quickly once you talk to a recruiter.

Yes, I already understand.

Do not drop out of high school. In this day and age that is a very poor decision no matter what path you decide to take in life.

I'll second that. Under no circumstances should you ever consider not finishing high school.
