Its hard to come up with the words but Bason was a very inspirational friend; always willing to help out when needed. He was truly dedicated to the Army and in particular the Royal Westminster Regiment. We spent some very good times together and been through some hard times and he was always...
That's just a picture from the Esstac photobucket site... http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v321/esstac/
I worked with a guy on enemy force over the summer that had a split front bush boar in CADPAT however; It seemed to work great, he was pleased with it.
I'm planning on picking up a bunch of...
Getting this train back on the tracks...
What about a closure like the Esstac Split Front Boar? Maybe adding some snaps just for insurance.

Also would the built in mag pouches be removeable like the Boar, or would they be sewn in...
www.canadiangunnutz.com ... go to the exchange forum and look for somebody selling some AR15 handguards then you could just swap out the handguard on the C7 with your own... just an option that should work; not to mention being more simple than attaching the rail every time.
.
A solution that i have seen that I think would work just fine is to take all the pouches off the issued tacvest and replace with MOLLE then get some CADPAT pouches. CTS can still have the feeling that they designed a great vest i would Have the same look to it... CTS can keep their "daisy chain"...
I think the overall outcome of this discussion is that modular kit would be the best for the job. That is the reason why i would still rather use the 82 pattern webbing over the tacvest... i can actually carry all the kit i need to get the job done on with that kit, not to mention my tacvest is...

Cougar Salvo 06 was good.

- Live fire... first time doing live fire attacks it was definitely some invaluable experience. The night shoot with AN/PVS 14's PAQ4C's was awesome.
- Having the engineers do a live blast on the objective at the raid... filled in that missing piece of a...

Our unit has just implemented a test for all the ranks starting with getting your hook and finishing with a Sgt's test.
some of the things involved in the test is a BFT completion, weapons handling test, unit history, radio procedures, etc.
the first test is just coming up this week though and...
Yes you will be issued all of that kit except for the body armour (note: bullet resistant not proof) that is issued as needed; such as going on tour, to the demolition range etc.
When you do lose an item you need to go to the supply and put in a lost report which will then be evaluated to see...
