    Continental Defence Corvette

Yep ammo is produced in lots, sometimes batched together. You are only allowed to use so many different component lots (say battery, booster, electronics) in a single overall lot. Sometimes it's one component lot, sometimes it's more depending on the exact item. The idea behind this is, if...

    Liberal (Minority/Majority) Government 2025 - ???

The Redcliff/Medicine Hat green houses are a fairly big operation, as is Leamington. But I drove by the greenhouses in the Hook of Holland in May, mostly flowers. The Dutch don't mess around, growing, packaging, and shipping all next to each other. Edit: Apologies for the greenhouse hook in...

    Liberal (Minority/Majority) Government 2025 - ???

Redcliff has greenhouses, so does Medicine Hat. They produce Feb to end of November. December and January they renew their growing medium and do maintenance. We also have a 1 million square foot weed greenhouse that never produced weed. The company over estimated demand. Part of it is used...

    War on Free Speech

Where do you get that? I was in the UK in December, saw the George cross in downtown London, and Saltires all over Edinburgh. The flags of terrorist organizations are outlawed, other than that there are no restrictions. Flags illegal to fly in the UK

    System Upgrade: Please Report Problems

On my A36 (Android) if I go to another tab, or out of the browser, when I come back to (still open) page it is often blank (black) and I can't drag down to refresh, I have to go to the browser control (Chrome) in the top right and select refresh. Page then pops up. Army.ca #firstworldproblem

    British Military Current Events

Sounds like if match up the 40 with Warrior's 7.62 chain gun and you would have a perfectly harmless vehicle. Keep the 30mm Rarden and a L7 GPMG for a perfectly mediocre turret with an abysmal RoF on the main gun.

Canada moves to 2% GDP end of FY25/26 - PMMC

There's the odd gen x born in the 70s, like me, with a WWII vet parent. Dad joined at 18, did Italy and Europe, hade me at 48. Probably thought kids would never end...

Canada moves to 2% GDP end of FY25/26 - PMMC

I think the provinces would object because federally employed ECEs would get pay and benefits far beyond private industry. Hopefully the hiring process would ensure all the best ones are poached.

    Emergency Response Times

True, I guess they weren't pointing out an article that might be of interest, or asking for your opinion on the matter, which I guess you gave - Toronto EMS better. A wall of text from a totally irrelevant contact was what was requested.

    Emergency Response Times

Bit of a pretentious, holier and better than thou take. Please explain how the Toronto ems contract applies to underpaid medics in Nipigon. It's a good thing rural Canada has a network of part-time, volunteer EMRs, they've saved a lot of lives. Fortunately, Torontonians don't have worry about...

Canada should join the (nuclear) big leagues

With the limited number of weapons the UK has, they have to convoy material and weapons across the country multiple times per year. Convoys like this would be a major undertaking and are probably the easiest part a nuclear program. Considering DND/CAF has a hard time buying clothing and the...

Canada should join the (nuclear) big leagues

Thanks for the update. Yep, we held Genies (here), Honest John warheads (in Germany), Bomarcs (here), and gravity bombs (Germany).

Canada should join the (nuclear) big leagues

Are you sure about the depth charges? We did have Honest John SSM, Bomarcs, Genies, and various dumb bombs, all nuclear, but I wasn't aware of depth charges. Some of the MPA were modified with nuclear release equipment but as far as I know there were no depth charges transfered.
