    Mounts, Dismounts and Lost Trails

I did. Pointed Murray and Conrad as well- hope they show up. On the "lost trails" theme, I'm retired now, living outside Cold Lake. BBQ, beer fridge, and guest room are always ready! Cheers

Comparing our generation with the WW II Generation (and we came off well)

Re: baby boomers. There isn't enough time or space here to adequately express the times, but I'll give it a quick shot. WWII wasn't a story in a history book for most of those in charge during the 50-70's, they lived through it. The Cold War wasn't a novel for me- it was as real as it gets...

    NDHQ Dress Policy

as a reservist, I very much doubt that he's on duty. Be neat, clean, and polite and you can't go wrong. BTW- going to the gym is a good thing, and supervisors should be doing everything in their power to keep you going, and not worrying about a young person in clean jeans. T-shirt and a smile.

    MPA Placement

I respectfully disagree. In the Army, the East rules (hence the sucking sounds from the West) In the Air Force, it's the exact opposite- West rules, East sucks. :)

Battle lines drawn over illegal guns

and since I'm on a roll, here's another not-so-politically-correct concept: Bring our troops home. I spent 28 years running around in uniform, and I have to admit it hurt like hail watching "my" guys (and gals) head into Afghanistan and Iraq. No one in their right minds wants to go to war, but...

Battle lines drawn over illegal guns

All guns, every one that I know of, were designed to kill. Funny, but I'm comfortable with that. Just for fun, so were we. The fact that you're here means your ancestors were survivors- they managed somehow to brave the odds and not only survive, but managed to procreate and eventually create...

    I Didn't See That !

1a. Waiting for General's inspection, and watching the CC across the walkway gluing valve stems onto the roadwheels. 1b. Watching the faces of the OC, BC, and SSM when the General notices the valve stems. 1c. Listening to the BC expla to the General about the test program for inflatable...

Sorry- been married for 25 years, female generated sarcasm goes right over my head :) Flag is a hoot- yer gonna have a ball. One of the last places you can control large packages- 100 aircraft in one area can be..interesting. Besides, you'll have 600 fighter jocks around to listen to after...

Defend AWC...... No need for defence...although as someone who spent 14 years in the Armoured Corps (77-91) I'd have to point out that our views on what constitutes "the swamps" and a "tough field deployment" are somewhat at odds :) You still at 42 Judy? Get off yer butt and come over to the...

what the armour is using right now?

I was 6'3" before the back gave out, and did fine in the Leopard...a well as Lynx, Cougar, and everything else we had. Stretch was a couple of inches taller than I was and did fine too. Enjoy your career- the Corps is a hoot.

Mud, There really is no "better"....simply small, minor, inconsequential differences, like: ATC uses a plate and cutlery to eat. AWC uses their fingers. ATC washes regularly, AWC cleans up if they happen to camp in a swamp (and to fall in). ATC can add and subtract. AWC knows that when...

    Aerospace Control Officers-AEC [merged]

My two cents on ATC Vs AWC: Pro's and Con's to both divisions of the trade (they are the same trade). If I was young and just starting out, no hesitation, I'd go AWC. Many more exciting/varied postings, with an operational atmoshpere. You'll be dragging your family around a little more, but my...

    yellow/cadpat ribbons

Yo Granny, Try here: http://flagshop.com/ They don't have exactly what you want, but they make money by selling stuff- bet they'd make you a flag, sticker, whatever. I have dealt with them, no hesitation in recommending them. Good luck- Garry

Flatspin, I promised myself in '77 that I'd grow my hair back in three years after I found a real job :) Hard, had to buy my first comb in years, and while my hair is growing, it's coming back in patches. Likely, Everyone is always (ALWAYS) extremely professional on the radio...but if you...
