I wouldnt say its crap. I've never had a problem with my C7 (Canadian version of the M16 in case you didnt know). I dont have as much experience with it as some of the other guys, but I do find that the C7 is only as crappy as the rifleman makes it by neglecting proper handling and care for it.

I dont know how else to put it. Its useless. It can not be used for anything atm. The drake equation uses a series of unknown variables. Since their unknown, the answer is also unknown.

No, I dont think so. Do you see anyone, especially someone who supposedly handled these weapons first hand or saw them being handled by his buddy, not knowing the name of those weapons? I have yet to see anyone who's in any position to possibly use these kinds of weapons mistake their names...

Aint it the M249 SAW? The M240 is our C6. The M249 SAW is our C9. As far as I know, there is no M243 SAW.

I was just wondering what you ppl think about artificial scrim? I find that when ppl have artificial scrim, it keeps them from taking the 5-10 min to put actual vegetation on their helmets and camouflage it better. The artificial scrim breaks up the silhouette, but it is still way more noticable...

I'd like to touch on this actually. Wearing cadpat among the public does make it seem like people do live among soldiers, that the soldiers are integrated in the society. When seeing someone in DEUs, though, people seem to think that they've come from somewhere else... they almost draw too much...

IMO, for any *formal* public event, DEUs. Anything less formal, well, cadpat is fine.
