Canadian Forces Aptitude Test (CFAT) [MERGED]

a lot of ppl ask this ... go to the recruiting centre and talk to them, they will know when the test dates are and give you a time frame for your area, MOC, etc. they can also hold your file, so you can do all your tests asap and they will just hold your file. just go and talk to them.

    CDN military boots

The CADPAT Temperate Weather boot is not standard issue. It has not even been awarded a contractor yet, so if it is even still to be produced, which I think it is, it has not been put to production. I have not even heard of any trial being conducted.

Tattoo Thread - including current policy [MERGED]

They have a big book full of tatoos that you can and cannot have. You are not even technically aloud to have a maple leaf on your shoulder as some gang in the east apparently had a maple leaf as their symbol. Hopefully they‘re lenient, and yes, dont mention it.

if you plan on joining when you are 17, and you are only 15 now, dont bother untill you‘re 16. However, if you want to join as soon as you turn 16, and you are 15, then you can apply now. although you would have to discuss this with your unit recruiting officer...well not your unit, but you know...

    sick days

and the staff basically gives up all their free time to run your basic coarse (reserves) so they get kinda pissed if you miss coarse if you‘re "not feeling well". If you get too sick to move while on coarse...well sick parade.

    Basic Questions

Call your local recruiter. Different MOC‘s have different age limits. I myself am not aware of an age cut-off that is written in stone. If you are 35 then you will be aloud to apply for the army.

WAltz, stop highjacking threads with uselless drivel please. You contributed nothing to this thread, besides saying that you are sad with not being able to join the lads for training. That‘s fine. You do not need to continue with that. As for that, it should be posted in the Recruiting Forum...
