Naval Officers Once Again to Wear the Executive Curl

I don't think it's fair to say that 57% of the navy has never been to sea, it just means that they have less than one year of sea time. Myself and most of my colleagues that have been in less than a year only have about 1 month of sea time at this point.

WHEN IS the next Naval Officer Assessment Board (NOAB) ?

I think for mine I got four days advance notice, so don't start to freak out yet, that is still almost a month away, they haven't forgotten about you.

    NCD Nametag

Dress instructions don't specifically say, but the figure seems to indicate that it is aligned bottom edge on the seam, but that is the old NCD jacket. For the new jacket I've never heard tell one way or the other, mine has them sewn on lined up with the top seam, but I have seen people with...

    ROTP after High School Questions

Be prepared to wait, lots. Two different people on my NETPO had degrees in Aerospace Engineering, and they didn't get their trade choice as the trade was closed. So talk to a recruiter to see if they even have any available positions in that trade first.

    Medical Standards - Weight

If you pass your PT test it probably matters not, some people on my platoon lost almost 50 lbs over the course of our three months in St. Jean. That probably does wonders for your BMI, though I personally think that is not a very good indication of health anyways, but then again I am not a doctor...

Good luck to all of you attending the NOAB coming up next week, most of us are at DC school next week, but I'm sure we will see you in the Gunroom on Thursday or Friday. Cheers!

Naval Officers Once Again to Wear the Executive Curl

What is your source? Could you provide a link on the DIN? I'm all for it, but I'm not going to get too excited about it until I hear something official.

Naval Officers Once Again to Wear the Executive Curl

Seems pretty unlikely considering it was discussed recently at the Naval Board 03-09 in October of 2009:

    Logisitk Unicorp Points

FYI the maximum you should be able to reach is 1200 points, also if you are in a unit where you are wearing your No. 3's everyday (Tier I Unit) you should get 600 points per year, 200 in April and 400 in October.

    Sleep Issues on course [MERGED]

If you are lucky (or unlucky, depending on how you look at it) St. Jean may still be under H1N1 restrictions: 2200 lights out on regular evenings, or 2100 lights out if you PT the next morning. Personally I would have rather had the extra two hours of working time, my parade boots would have...
