Cuba next? (split from Iran, other threads)

It frankly will be better to get regime change in Cuba, sooner than later. This removes it from the threat matrix. Lot's of pressure and back door for select individuals to leave safely and a promise to drop sanctions, along with a lease extension for the base.

The RCAF's Next Generation Fighter (CF-188 Replacement)

With most DJI drones, they fly themselves and you direct them to where and how to get there. They will take action to avoid having you fly them into an obstacle.

    Canadian River Class Destroyer Megathread

Speaking of which, who made the .50cal RWS systems currently on the Halifax Class? It would seem they would be a good addition to the RCD, AOP's and even the new Orca class and the JSS.

    Chinese Military,Political and Social Superthread

The possibility is that China may invade some of the islands close to the mainland, but avoid the main island. That bite by bite strategy will work with minimal causalities and minimal international pushback. Taiwan already knows those islands are indefensible and they and all the...

    Continental Defence Corvette

I was there for PET and still in the Feds when JT came in, both were and going far left and saw the military as a hinderance to their plans. I have also watched how both left and right governments have slashed the RN at different times. A lot of politicians just don't give a sh*t about which...

I get that, but if you get another far left PM, all they will see is grey floating things taking money from their socialist dream programs. For them one is as good as another and less capable is better than something that is more capable.

    Continental Defence Corvette

It seems that packing the punch of a Halifax into a smaller hull AND having the range and some ice capabilities is a very hard ask. I suspect also the RCN fears that a 4,000ish DWT "Corvette" is going to eat the RCD lunch down the road as future politicians start trimming the fat. I suspect...

Logical, from China viewpoint, there is no profit in this war and it affects their bottom line and energy security. The good thing about this visit is it should reduce tensions between two superpowers and keep the conflict regional.
