I've never had a problem retaining my googles on my helmet.  especially enough of an issue to make them "permanently" mounted by looping through the helmet cover. The only time I wear googles is in the vehicle.  When I leave the vehicle I don`t want my googles with me 99% of the time so I stow...

I've had mine get so bad they go through a set of laces in a day.  Heard of many similar problems.  Like I said, a mini-file helps....

They've dwindled. All pistols that become NS now, for whatever reason, are cannabilised for their parts as that is the only supply there is.  I forget the numbers, but despite the huge stock of pistols we had at one time, the attrition rate is pretty heavy on them.

Exactly.  It wouldn't have to be TDI, although that might suit the military better, but an even less complicated and less expensive solution would be simply to modify existing snowmobile engines which are getting pretty good these days. This hybrid idea is ridiculous to the extreme.

Ack. The reason I ask about junior Sgts being course loaded on the "new" DP 3A is that it is essentially a new qualification that didn't really exist under the old system so that Sgts coming in after them will have not only  small arms, but this enhanced section level command course.

Hmmm... Well looking at the timeline chart it would seem someone with Mods 1-5 to right now will definitely fall under the new system.  I've had PLQ for over 2 years and wasn't expecting a DP3A until atleast next spring (or later considering the bottle neck of MCpls now) so I really don't...

So your pants are literally that short on you?  I know there's sizing issues for uniforms, but i'd have thought there would be a pant length that was ample.  Maybe you need longer pants?  I'm not doubting you, but it seems improbable that your pants are so short you can't even bend your legs...
