The new bags were designed so that they could be easily mounted high or low, so that members of units still using the P82 could use this without looking 'too' out of place.

CPGear has a '64 bag with MOLLE on the outside that you can mount high on the frame.

Easiest thing to attach to the top would probably be one of the P82 bags, same as it always was, with paracord or zapstraps. The rest of the ruck is just whatever you want to use. I did this for a buddy of mine with the CPGear pads when we got the new rucks and he's been using it since.

+1 for the simunition. Airsoft is just too...logistically unsound...there's just too many problems with getting your unit to purchase anything. If you're looking to solely use pistols, you'd be better off going into Canadian Tire and getting some CO2 pellet guns.

Try Seals Action Gear. They're located in Calgary and carry Magnum, Matterhorn and probably more.

I suppose you could put the shoulder straps through the drag handle and paracord the bottom down to the daisy chains...you're probably better off just using it seperately. As for the slipons, why bother? You'll get an ample supply of slipons from your unit for free.

When I did my basic my fireteam partner was 40 years old, great guy and kept up with us no problems. The only problem was his snoring...oh well, nobody but me bugged him for that one. He's Navy now by the way.

The jackets are sized the same as your shirt, but keep in mind, when you wear the jacket you'll sometimes have other kit underneath, so a few sizes bigger (xx40) would probably be better to fit.

Just to update the AD, the Cold Lake detachment is being closed down right now (I don't know if it's moving elsewhere in the west, but the Cold Lake location is out), so you'll be joining me in Gagetown after your BMQ. Like you've already noted, BMQ-SQ-Arty(AD)DP1 and then regiment at 4AD. Daily...
