Hi, question for you guys. I recently became PLQ qual and I was curious if you get the trade badge with the crown when you are PLQ qual or when you are promoted to the rank of Mcpl?

I put in my CT, finally. Hopefully since I'm going from trained pres engineer to reg engineer I go through the system somewhat fast... I did it the old fashion way with a memo. Will my CoC make me fill the the online application out still or is that not needed with a memo?

Here is the example of the second line in my memo. "Pers (872) last 3 of service number or applicable file number from the clerk" I am writing a memo to my section 1C. Can I just write his name and below his position?

Thought I'd give a post here and see if anyone knew if Class A reservist can get partially reimburse for getting glasses. I think I've heard of some reservist getting reimbursed for glasses however I wasn't sure what Class they were on. Any help would be great. Thanks.

I use to always use the black thin socks with the green ones overtop but now just use the green ones alone. In the field I like to wear some thick moisture "resistant" ones. Keep my feet much drier then the issued socks. Did cost about $10 a pair mind you.

Thanks for the replies. After hours of searching the DIN and finding nothing I went to a local infantry unit and they were nice enough to lend me the PAM.

Thanks alot. I'll check tomorrow. I guess my staff forgot to include that PAM on the CD or didn't have it PDF format.

Can anyone tell me what PAMS casualty evacuation is in? I have to do a lecture on this and it is taking me awhile to find it. I have looked in the TP but can't seem to find the pam: B-GL-309-001/FT-001. It doesn't seem to exist. Any help?

Hmmm, maybe I will try 17 Wing here in Winnipeg.  The engineers might have a kit shop in there building.

My unit doesn't have any and the Tailor won't have any for a long time. Don't want to wear the standard buttons if I can help it. Anyone have any they can sell or know somewhere else I can get them? The kit shop at the school was always out of them when I was there unfortunately.

Well, I didn't want to go but I'm told I'm going. Should be nice and cold, interesting at points I guess. I was told it will be the dates you mentioned or in February which will be a walk across Lake Winnipeg. :S

It all depends how fast you complete your courses. Usually you would complete your A's in one summer, B's in the next and your 5's the next summer but now that they offer the A's and B's back to back you can do it the next year. Reserves just wants train soldiers as fast as they can. I know guys...
