Making Canada Relevant Again- The Economic Super-Thread

    Phobias in the Navy

By the way we were today in a small boat on our way to watch "le roche perce" on a stormy sea and we saw a couple of small wales. We had a blast, lots of big waves, beautiful birds, salty water and strong winds. Check it out if you pass by Perce, gaspesie, Qc.

Making Canada Relevant Again- The Economic Super-Thread

The latest McNaughton-Vanier Round Table is not related directly to economic but could contribute to "make Canada relevant again". Lieutenant-General Andrew Leslie had interesting points that he brought up. www.cpac.ca/forms/index.asp?dsp=template&act=view3&pagetype=vod&hl=e&clipID=5008

Officer vs NCM with an unrelated degree

If you are applying for the reserve, by going at your chosen unit, when they are open for recruiting, you can ask if you could meet a signals officer. You can also try the same at the CFRC. From www.forces.ca/en/job/signalsofficer-79#info-1 it seems to be phys-math-computers hardcore stuff. You...

What's the dumbest thing you heard said today?

I caught a graduate student cutting a good amount of sodium soaked in oil on a paper towel. Sodium is highly flammable, and a fire caused by metal is not good. Oil is used to protect the sodium from atmospheric moisture. However, paper is a good combustible and absorb the oil...

kicked out of university for being a reservist?

I did that too for a couple of students in the past years. It is too bad that university doesn't put in place a system like sport-scholarship in which they tell us about students involved with military and than we can plan their exams/homework according.
