From what I'm hearing, this might be getting better soon. They've got a handful of swiched on NCMs at Minto who are begging for more autonomy and from speaking to them there's some optimism that some of the barriers are coming down.

Funny you should mention that. I was at the Canada summer games for Lax and the CAF had a booth setup. That was my first exposure to anything military and I've been hooked ever since.
