military and civilian trade equivalence

i asked a recruiter the other day about equivalency between military and civilian trades. he told me that the military provides apprenticeships, but couldn‘t show me in writing so i wasn‘t entirely convinced.

Do trades in the regular force provide certification (provincial apprenticeship, for instance) that can be applied in civilian life?

also, do the reserves in general provide training certificates that can be applied in civilian life, for instance WHMIS or hydraulic crane certification?
