OK Guys,
I‘m at a total loss. I‘ve searched the web, CFAO‘s, the DIN, the Defence site, the Warrior Programme Handbook, everywhere. I can‘t find the criteria for the 13K march. Someone told me it was on the current SQ crse CD, but can‘t find one of those either. I don‘t need guesses or memories (been getting lots of those, including much conflicting information). What I need is a link or for someone to post the proper layout, from workup times and distances, to loads and timings, everything involved. If someone has a copy, please post it or send a link. Thanks.

straight from my application package:

"by the time you reach basic you should be able to march 13 KM in 2 hrs 25 min with a load of 17.5kg."

Michael,
Is there an official link? Looking at your answer, it‘s the way I remember. Just can‘t believe I couldn‘t find it anywhere in the system. Thanks.

I‘ve never found it posted on the WWW. I downloaded that data from the Defence network to post here.

I know now the Army is looking at a new test. As far as I know it consists of several tasks to do. Trench digging sand bagging and other stuff. It is still being looked at. But I it should be in effect soon. Meaford may be a test bed for it. Ill keep you posted if we do it.

I can see a sandbaging and trench digging test shut down in a blink of an eye. It‘s fine for infantry types, even other combat arms but can you imagine clerks and supply techs, maintainers etc.. doing that? This isn‘t to raze them it‘s just not their job. I know everyone should be a soldier first but i‘ve seen many people who couldnt hope to pass a shuttle run or even 13KM march let alone digging a trench in whatever alotted time. 2400" groupings on a FATS trainer is scarry too.

Reference the 13KM march for reservists (at least) before you do one your required to have 6 weeks work up training for it.
