I saw a similar thread on Reddit for a different industry, but immediately thought there might be some merit in sparking some ideas to consider as desirable features in military housing.
So thinking of your own experiences in the service and with housing features, what is desirable in the design of housing for mi,Italy members and military families?
For example, housing for families with children- a neat laundry/ mud room combo?
Are bedrooms ok or what can be done to improve them?
Kitchen facilities- barely adequate or downright useless?
Should housing include space for an office/den for days you might WFH?
Parking - attached, covered, not covered. No parking at all?
What features would make PMQ living, single quarters etc more enjoyable, comfortable, desirable, attractive insofar as the building features are considered?
Finally, if the military can’t or won’t deliver PMQ or other quarters that are desireable - not because they can’t but just refuse - is there interest in a national corporation that us an alternative or even better a slice of the national home building program that encourages developers to consider dedicated housing options for military families (if there is a local market).
