Would those be the same engineers that have approved all the bridges, buildings, etc around the world that collapse.

Don't find roller coasters fun either. I knew people that worked at fairs assembling/running rides and wouldn't trust anything they worked on.

That's how a lot of us feel about military HR, having met HRAs.

Fixed rides like at Canada's Wonderland, perhaps (but my body's not really into them anymore) but the travelling rides for fall fairs and such, not so much. They are all supposed to be inspected prior to service and at regular intervals but regulatory enforcement in Ontario leaves much to be desired.

Not totally confident in the conscientiousness of some of the carnies operating them .

Even the CNE. We had to bus about 20 Flyer riders to hospital from one incident.
