Mind, if an individual has the means, through education/experience, to immigrate to the US from Canada, the way forward is possible.

Remember, I have dual citizenship and have lived/worked in both Michigan and Massachusetts in the past and have a daughter attending University there on scholarship playing D1 soccer. I’ve walked and walked on both sides of the border.

Do you not find some hypocrisy asking what a Canadian could benefit from the US as your daughter enjoys a D1 scholarship there? (Congrats by the way, our son is close to that path)

No can do. I can only speak on my own behalf.

5 for me: own pretty much any small arms I please; move freely in the US and its possessions; serve in world-leading armed forces; higher standard of living; better access to health care.

So the average CDN gives a rats ass about a Republic.
Geography? We get the ability to travel to their warm climate at our leisure and can live there for 182 days of the year now.
Taxes - be careful because you get what you pay for. I have family that pay 12-15k a year in property taxes for a house that would sell for only 400-425k USD. I pay about 6k in property taxes for a house that would sell over well over a million CAD.

As for the D1 offer my daughter is taking advantage of, it falls into our belief that we want our kids to live abroad from Canada in order to experience life in other countries. She’s a long ways away from this but she’d live to play soccer somewhere in Europe after university. As a side note, she used to train at the same place as Olivia Smith did, who is 4yrs older and looks at her as a role model.
Happy to give any info that you might find useful about the process of going down to the US for soccer.

I estimate that number is zero. Why? He isnt even willing to go into VEN with an occupation force. He isnt going to invade a NATO country. That thought is beyond ridiculous. And everyone with a brain ought to know it isnt even possible, he’d be sidelined and 25th’d right now if it was a serious notion.

When it comes to Trump and negotiating, he wants everyone to think nothing is of the table, ever. He will never publicize his red lines. That much has been obvious for years now.

But following the approach, as a non-uniformed individual who doesn’t own a firearm, of quietly waiting and seeking out like minded individuals and opportunities is the best approach.
I’d also suggest that all on this site would be more than likely ‘marked’ by US officials as those worth watching closely. This easily could be already occurring for all we know.
