My social media pages are ready for any and all possibilities in stands of solidarity for those who will fight and die on my behalf - Canadians.

I saw a post on FB from some, probably foreign run, group. Asking if you would be willing to go fight for Canada. And it was awash with 50, 60 and 70+ year old's all beating their chest and ready to fight. I tried to find some youngins in the comments but I didn't find any in my cursory look.

So your assumption is article 5 is dead and no one's coming to help? Guess we are Ukraine now against russia. Except in our case the enemy is competent.

Again people come to grips with how tenuous these agreements are. As we are seeing words mean nothing. No, no one is coming. And Article 5 doesn't mean shit.

Perhaps this is a Navy and/or Officer thing, but the vast majority of the officers I know are Liberal voters (if we've discussed politics and they've revealed it), and for those who haven't said it outright who they've voted for, I would assume they are Liberal voters based on their policy stances and the amount of PP bashing they participate in.

Sitting around in uniform bashing politicians? That sounds fun.

What's the general consenus on officers in the navy these days, pretty good leaders who put their troops first or more careerist? Genuine question.

This is the first cohesive idea I have seen on how to deal with Trump. Europe has to "Escalate to de-escalate" and they have to focus on defeating Russia in Ukraine without the US. I'm not sure they have the backbone. But we're about to find out.

I was watching him (droning on about whatever he was droning on about) on the CTV morning show. They had to cut away since the show was coming to an end, so they cut to a Bell mental wellness commercial, which I thought was fitting.

I did, there are issues with the demographics, especially since the 55+ crowd is more willing, but the numbers already willing translate into millions of potential recruits
