I was thinking more like nuanced information on what they’re willing to bend on or not, what the pain points are, how the decisions makers and supporting apparatus perceive the domestic political impacts of certain negotiating points… Intelligence is the art of looking at the other guy’s cards without him knowing. And HUMINT is an area where you can get stuff you cannot get any other way. HUMINT is CSIS’ specialty.
