A day in the reg force

Hey everyone,

This may be a question that you can‘t really answer, but I thought that I‘d ask it anyways. After all your training, what is a regular day in the regular force like? What does it consist of?

That would depend:
- what trade?
- field unit or base posting?
- unit on operational tour or reconstitution phase afterwards?
- summer or winter?
- on exercise or is the unit running courses?

Too many factors for a ‘simple‘ answer.

I‘ll ask the same question with more specifics.

Im looking at SigOp as an MOC. Hoping really. Once basic is through, what sort of courses are next? Obviously communications training is the biggest priority, but what sort of infantry training do they receive? How often could a person in this moc expect to relocate or go on tour? I understand that one can expect to be deployed somewhat frequently, but my information comes from sources of varying credibility and backgrounding. (ie: an ex‘s dad who‘s now an alcoholic train engineer Talking to recruiters makes me feel like Im haggling for a car or something...

Any info as always is appreciated =)

Is this like the trade that you choose? or what? and is there a website where I can see a list?

or is MOC like infantry, armoured soldier etc.?


if so I am hopefully gonna be a fullly fledged ground hog I wanna do infantry. I have no information about postings or anything like that.. I‘m pretty much a n00b to all of this.
