Got sent this link.  Thought it was a bit of media fresh air in amongst the gales of shite usually blowing.

I saw that last week.  It did make for a great story, and it's nice to see the media actually post a "feel good" story for a change.

More stories like that would be nice..

That reminds me of one of the people in the special class in my high school last year, who tried out for our school version of Canadian Idol. Not only is this guy one of the friendliest people you'll ever meet, he could actually sing, and play guitar up to the standard of some of the middle-stage contestants of American or Canadian Idol.

I saw this and still don't understand why it is a feel good story. Some highschool student plays for his basketball team for the last XX minutes of the game and ends up getting some points. The kid being autistic really didn't make me care anymore than I would have if he was just a "normal" boy, although its nice to see he can manage the school team and play decently also. After everything is said and done I think it's just the media making something out of nothing. Could they have excluded the fact he was autistic? Yes, but then we all would have changed the channel.

Nice first post.

The fact that he IS autistic is the point of the story.  The guy has a huge bad card dealt to him in life and he gets a moment in the sun that most people in a life time will not experience.  Lighten up, Francis.  Buy a Care Bear or something.

When he is making millions of dollars in the NBA then I will feel sorry, for myself.

Guess you won't be catching any of the special or para-Olympics any time soon.
