A Deeply Fractured US

I had two brand new coppers on the backside of a residence stop and challenge an armed murder suspect fleeing a TAC team with a gun in his waistband and then his hand. They did an awesome job in the dark in an unfriendly apartment block. At the time I didn’t give them the credit I should have because I was under the impression that this was the expectation. Now I know better.

Then there is this. This agency is an absolute clown show.

Man, if this shooting has you feeling a little awful, then do NOT go into the r/conservative subreddit and read their responses/take on this event. It won't be good for your mental health...
I went to take a look. This was the "top comment" and "best comment" across 2100 comments.

This doesn't look good on ICE. It almost seems like they disarmed him, a gun was misfired immediately after someone yells he has a gun. Then the other officers just started firing. There should be a full investigation and any officers who acted outside the law, or even on the line, should be put in front of a jury.

Does he say in the video that it's to counter ICE? I don't think it even COULD work that way. More likely he's deploying the national guard because he foresees the people devolving into complete pandemonium and lawlessness over this.
The reasoning in the orders doesn't really matter at this point. The Governor of a state is activating the state NG in response to the excesses of federal agents in his state. Regardless of whether they are there to protect the locals, or reign-in the feds, the likelihood of things getting out of hand has just increased significantly.

Can the NG engage ICE? What rules govern this?

Apparently video no available!

Unclear why the subreddit mods removed it, left a lot of people confused as no reason has been given.

I was smart enough to save it.

As it happens, already in place.

Passed in 1986, so 30 years before Trump was elected. That's the 30 years I refer to in which the political establishments had a chance to enforce laws if they didn't want voters to choose someone else to do it. Upon their heads, be it.
Weakly in place and not enforced. Plus requiring 3 or more illegal immigrants before they start punishing.

Again jail time, no fines. And make the jail time start at 5 years. Employment of any illegal immigrant being the trigger.

If the Democrats or the post-Reagan Republicans in the WH wanted those things, they could have had them. Apparently they did not want them very much. And then apparently the voters decided, given an opportunity, that they wanted neither Democrats nor post-Reagan Republicans in the WH.

Looks like Pam Bondi has sent a letter to Tim Walz effectively stating that ICE will draw down if Minnesota gives up its voter information.

Blackmail, extortion, coercion are apparently key features of this administration. Walz better tell her to go swallow that pair of boots, did she not think this wouldn't get immediately released publicly? Everyone knows the reason why they want the voter rolls and it has nothing to do with immigration or ensuring "fair" elections.

Lawsuit already filed, witness affidavit already attached as evidence from pink jacket lady. On a Saturday ….

Edit- this is an action in a civil rights case attempting to have a court order ICE to leave Minnesota. Good luck with that.

And another affidavit (just a couple pages) from a physician who witnessed the shooting and tried to provide aid to the victim.

Not everybody knows. What is the reason?

Apparently from what I've been seeing and heaing from friends in Minneapolis is Maga types are having a difficult time wrapping their heads around the concept that the 2nd amendment applies to every American citizen . And by extension of course so does the rest of the US Constitution.
Ironic doesn't even begin to cover it.
