Any Germans with Abitur in the Canadian Forces?

I don't really know where I should ask this question but is there anybody from Germany in the Canadian Military?
If yes, could those individuals tell me whether their Abitur was recognized by the Department of National Defence?
If no, please disregard this post!

I know that passing the "Abitur" is a big thing in Germany but we don't have a similar exam at the end of high school (Gynasium) in Canada.  I suspect that the DND would see the "Abitur" as graduation from high school.  The German education system involves a stronger streaming process than a Canadian highschool.
