There was a guy on social media who sounds like he works on the SS shop floor, that claims Topsee (or another admiral) tore a strip off of SS management for problems and delays and caused some people to be replaced.
Im sure there have been plenty of issues, I am sure Topshee ripped them a new one for preventable issuesI would be utterly surprised if everything was going smoothly. This ship is the largest ship for the navy and the first naval vessel and first of class. I suspect a lot of things from the shop floor POV look utterly stupid and might be or they can't see the constraints the designers are working under.
You know you need to provide the spilt tea now...There was a guy on social media who sounds like he works on the SS shop floor, that claims Topsee (or another admiral) tore a strip off of SS management for problems and delays and caused some people to be replaced.
For PROTECTEUR there are certainly problems, some self inflicted, I think they are behind schedule again after making some good gains to get the ship launched. PRESERVER is going much better. Is JSS running into problems ? I was honestly blissfully thinking everything was hunky-dory...
I suspect they see a business opportunity, with navies around the world short of afloat logistics.![]()
Inocea Group to Acquire UK's Wave-class Fast Naval Replenishment Fleet to Return Proven NATO Capability to Active Service - Naval News
Inocea announced the signing of an agreement to acquire the United Kingdom’s Royal Fleet Auxiliary vessels Wave Knight and Wave Ruler, two of the most capable fast fleet tankers ever operated by a NATO navy.www.navalnews.com
Wonder if this has any significance for the RCN.
I wonder if they had the same company responsible for the maintenance on them as were working on the Victorias' My second question is why would they scrap the wave class only to start building new support vessels for the Queens.![]()
