Application/hiring process. PLEASE REPLY, NEED ANSWERS

How long does it take, between each testing period (cfat, medical, etc..) to receive a call for the next one? I've applied in january and completed my CFAT in february of this year. One of the captains told me i'd be cintacted within 3 months if not then in 3 months after my initial processing (cfat). Secondly, i've applied to 3 trades (combat engineer, weapons tech, firefighter) that were open at the time of application and in the recent month, have closed. I know that when the trade closes, it is not hiring anymore. What i want to know is, is my name still going to be considered for those trades when and if they re-open? Am i able to contact the recruiting centre to change the trades i applied for, to an open trade?
