Aptitude test

My recruiter says my app is at 8:00am and I should be done by 12ish. Does it really take that long for that test or is there more involved?

Your appointment involves more than just the test. You will wait while everybody ''signs in" and gets paperwork in order, listen to instructions, then write the test. Afterwards, you will likely meet with your file manager to discuss your occupation choices and whether or not you qualified.
