This report seems to be true. DNA testing will tell for sure.

It would be nice but I'm not going to get my hopes up until DNA comes back. I actually heard on AM 790 (An American Station) a couple years ago that a CIA plane shot down Osama Bin Laden in late 2003 and the body was awaiting DNA tests. It turned out not to be him.

Lets hope for the best, though  :threat:

Hope it's true, if so, a good day for coalition forces, now if they can just get Zawahiri (sp?) they will have made a big kill.

The battle was located in al-Nibayi, near Taji in Salahadin province. It was between AQ and forces of the Anbar Salvation Council which is operating beyond the borders of Anbar in fact they seem to be taking their anti-AQ campaign anywhere AQ operates and is doing so with the support of the Iraqi government. US special operations forces operate with the sunni tribesmen mainly providing air/artillery support as needed. The area is still hot and AQ will try very hard to conceal Masri's body if in fact he was killed.
