AQ to Expand Its Insurgency

Found this article and thought it might cause some interesting discussion. AQ wants to shift into a new phase and one that will be most unwelcome in all the arab capitols.

  An interesting article and an interesting "strategy" if it is adopted by AQ.  I can only think that their intent is to cause "popular" uprisings in these folks native countries and to have the flames of radical Islam sweep those countries.  However, I see this as running the risk of causing their support to be "a mile wide, but an inch deep" throughout these countries.  Basically, they would be able to cause damage/terror/casualties for a time, but let's face it, suicide bombers are a self-eliminating problem with crappy retirement benefits.

  As well, I believe this shows and may be perceived by militant supporters of AQ as an acknowledgement that they cannot win in Iraq.  After all, if their current tactics were truly successful, why change them?
