Basically renting out a place near the base during the phases of occupational training. Specifically for ACSO, I know that its in Winnipeg. How much time away from Winnipeg for training?

The best answer I can give is it depends. Generally speaking, schools demand trainees occupy quarters as a means of ensuring a degree of control. Where courses are longer, and more decentralized, such as I assume ASCO is, this may not be wholly practical. I know we have at least one person with direct experience who I'm sure can answer this more fully.

I lived out the whole time I was on Nav (ACSO) training. Most people did.

You will be away from Winnipeg on training almost no nights…
