In armoured regiments, what is the name of each of the sub-units within a "troop"? Is it squad or is there a special word?

In armoured regiments, what is the name of each of the sub-units within a "troop"? Is it squad or is there a special word?

In a Recce Troop they are Patrols and then Call Signs.

In a Tank Troop they are Call Signs.

Just to add a note  - a Call Sign is an individual  vehicle.  Usually there are two CS in a Patrol.  And three of four Patrols in a Troop.  Thats on the Recce side of the house.

Tank troop can also broken down into fire team.
