Its also quite possible the unit did the right thing, but the CAF is now embarrassed, so someone has to pay.Good man or not, this is a failure of command. Im sick and tired of the culture in the CAF of "oh so and so is a good person we should cut them some slack", we have lost to many good soldiers because leadership seems to have a different set of rules. If the unit did a UDI and completely botched to protect their own from real consequences. Thats 100% on the CO, and the leadership team.
None of us know for sure, so let's see what comes of the current investigation.
