Army Reserve Restructuring

I believe that is the concept for the CARBs.
Not just the CARBS, as they will shift ARes svc bn to second line support come 2040. Of course, assuming this plan survives. However the future looks bright that all DP1 CSS can be done i house. Schools left for DP2 level training. This will allow us to train people to an employable level more quickly. Creating match coys will allow depth and mutual support.

So, come the next emergency there will be 150 or so Transport Platoons scattered around the country.

Will there be an equal number of POL, water points, kitchens, shelters, medics and comms?

One of the obvious things I didnt even think about that the army is doing to add depth to the reserves is brining back the Admin coys for units. This will expand CSS is the ARes, give first line support the units again, and allow ARes units to actually train with integrated CSS

If only there were the facilities in a 1915 era armoury to adequately manage a full, or even partial, first line maintenance program. Or enough parking for non-horse drawn vehicles ;)

In 1915? Outside? Sure.

But if you want a (indoor) shop of some kind, equipped with some basics tools and equipment, you'll need to go to the local CFB....

Getting a bit crowded down there aren't they.

PS Navy and Field Guns got me to Devonport and Portsmouth.

Is there a requirement that the proposed Res F battalions each be fitted into one building or onto a single contiguous city block somewhere?

The CARBS, atleast how I interpret it, are basically formations pulled together from the various units to form an element for DOMOPS or other deployments. In total the DoC Div is expected to be able field a CARB from every brigade, and 2 service battalions to support them all.

Apparently some units are moving between brigades.

From what I have heard, I wouldn't be surprised if we saw the 4th Princess Louise Dragoon Guards come off the Supplementary Order of Battle based on the limited number (0)

So it's essentially the same as the Territorial Battalion Groups that we have now.
