hey guys, got a question for you all, in the next year or so im planning to take basic, in the reserves. They said you can take it through the summer as a straight 4 week course, or alternating thogh the weekends and wensdays to complete it for 6 months,

i personally like the 4 weeks straight, pretty sure its going to be more challenging then just taking weekends :)

question is, does it matter on any records or any future things you might like to attend wether you did the month course or the weekend courses for 6 months?

oh, and one more, if i join the reserves and finish basic, can i try out any of the trades? or do you need extra schooling to be eligable for those, if that makes sense...

thanks

BMQ is BMQ, whether on weekends or through the summer. English during the year or at night school still counts as an English class doesn‘t it?

You will be accepted for a trade before you go for BMQ. You will then be trained in that trade after you have completed BMQ.

Also, you may want to hit the search button and search for "Basic Training" or "BMQ" as there is a lot of info from past posts which you will most likely find interesting and helpful.
