Here's a thought - take the "rent" in the crude oil cargo to their own refineries and call it a day? Isn't that what the US were doing with tankers leaving Venezuela?

Some are Métis, but there are a lot of McKay’s and Morris’s on remote Ontario FN’s that are in the status member category, as well as Bouchard’s, Pelletier’s and Bruyere’s that are just as status member along the north shore of Lake Superior.

Yeah - they sold off a lot of their fuel and food locally, so when our supply lines got cut off, we had to ration our own food and fuel to ourselves in order to ensure their vehicles would run and their soldiers had food
