Logistics, yes.

But REME?

That assumes an intent to repair and maintain and not simply replace.

It is easier to shove more gear forwards than it is to figure out how to recover broken or exhausted kit, get it to a depot for refurb, and find the fitters necessary.

Airborne REME.. never enough of them. Now that they have the new toys...

It seems that the camera system being used by the British Special Services were transmitting to an IP address in China at least according to the Daily Mail.
Royal Navy surveillance drones used by Britain's elite special forces were fitted with cameras containing Chinese-made components that were secretly sending data to an address in China.

The K3 Scout drones, operated by Royal Marines, were found to be transmitting so-called 'heartbeat' communications to an IP address in China.
Certainly am glad that we can trust the Chinese enough to have a security agreement with them.

Haven't seen any other information yet but they should have a security agreement with the Chinese like we have and then they wouldn't have to worry.

British Army sailors rescue bedraggled barn owl 70 nautical miles out to sea

A barn owl stranded some 70 nautical miles out to sea was rescued by an astonished British Army sailing crew competing in a gruelling race around Britain and Ireland.

A British Army sailing crew competing in one of yachting's most demanding races found themselves coming to the rescue of a bedraggled barn owl 70 nautical miles from shore when the exhausted creature made a determined bid to join their team.

The bird's arrival aboard Fujitsu British Soldier during the 50th Anniversary ‌RORC Round Britain and Ireland Race sparked a complex coordination effort between the military sailors and multiple wildlife agencies – all while the crew pressed on toward the finish line at Cowes.

"We have an extra crew member for the latter parts of the race: an exhausted barn owl ‌that we are nursing back to health," skipper Will Naylor reported to race officials.

He dryly noted that finishing the race with their original complement could prove awkward.

"Someone is going to have ‌to walk the plank," he joked.
