Trump seems to have finally been clued in to the fact that Bombardier has significant manufacturing in the U.S., or alternatively that the U.S. military uses Bombardier aircraft for a couple niche and key capabilities.

I can tell you, in confidence, that NASA has been after the Canadian government to pay its "due to fly" on the space station by way of Bombardier's private jets for years (because they would not need to have money appropriated to the purchase if paid in goods), but Canada for budgetary internal reasons prefer to just pay money in the system instead.
