wouldn't be great to have Canada Goose make all of the winter gear for the army?

:cdn:

Thats what i was going to ask, but dont you think that a cilvilian companie would not be as durable etc?    Is there a website.

http://www.canada-goose.com

They make quite possibly the best parkas on the face of the earth. They've been used in Antarctic expeditions and they're quite common in the Canadian Arctic due to their superior warmth.

actualy that wouldn't be awesome because that company looks like a decroted peice of crap... :salute:

Ah yes, because functionality and usefulness take a back seat to LCF. Never mind that they make one of the warmest parkas in the world, they've got logos on them so they must suck. You don't by chance own a Columbia coat do you?

Nope...I wear burton...warmest jacket ever in my eyes...

You've worn a lot of jackets? I highly doubt you'd survive in -50 degree weather with your Burton jacket, and I seem to recall seeing a few logos on Burton jackets so what exactly was this post about?

Well now it seems the children shall be the voice of experience. The type of clothing worn shall dictate your survival time, and it seems with all of your experience you have decided that your jacket that your MOM got you for Xmas is just fine . Son I would invite you to go to the Arctic and snuggle down into the snow, when you  get back tell us how your jacket did.
P.S. Don't forget your mittens.

That was sarcasm but thanks anyway. Have a read of the complete post before you start quoting and replying to my comments.

Isnt Burton a snow boarding companie, if so there is a fine line bettween surviving and snow boarding at your local skie hill.

Yeah Burton's a board company. Good coats, but nowhere near the same quality as Canada Goose. Or even Columbia...

After serving on more than a couple Sov Ops near the Circle I can tell you that our kit is only outdone up there by the traditional clothing worn by the locals and the few CRP cadre folks that may be in the area. If I was to complain about any one thing it would be the bulk and lack of mobility  of all the kit together, but when you are in harsh terrain you don't have to run any where (lesson from CRP).

I have a Canada Goose parka, and in Winnipeg I find I use it quite a bit.  It's very warm and very well made.  Worth every penny I paid for it (it wasn't cheap either)  I have owned Columbia products and I can't say I was too impressed in as many ways as I have been with Canada Goose.

I have one of those lavish snowboard/ski jackets. The thing doesn't get me through December.  All it's good for now it when I work outside with a few layers underneath.

Snowboarding Jackets are only good for when you snowboard.  Ripping it down the hill tends to generate body heat.

Yeh no kidding just look at the new ICE kit.
I could not believe how cumbersome it was wearing everything while getting fitted for it.
