Has anyone heard of this yet? I've seen a few articles on it. I don't know if this is old news or not but i'm just hearing of it.

Tinfoil hat stuff. The constitutions of both Canada and USA would prohibit such a merger.

It is unlikely, but the same thing happened to Europe.

Last time I checked the atlas France was still France....

Smirnoff, its NOT going to happen.

Don't lose any sleep over it.

EDIT: I think this thread has already ran it course.

Another book of fiction by this author..... Cheez!

I hope it doesn't, Canada would most likely get the short end of the stick.

We would try to get the American economy (wait for it to bounce back), Mexican liquor laws and Canadian society. Instead we would get the Mexican economy, Canadian liquor laws and American society.

I've read tons of articles suggesting that, but as everybody else has agreed, it would never happen. Ever.

I also think we have bigger problems to worry about than the unlikely merge of North America. ;)

Nothings sells fictional books quite like controversy that incites the masses to believe the ridiculous (ask Dan Brown).

Hey! What are you trying to insinuate about Dan Brown?  Are you trying to tell me the De Vinci Code doesn't exist?  :o

I think that was replaced by the Salvador Dali Code.

And all this came from "Salon"?......fiction at its' very best, all the time, everytime..... ::)

I remember seeing a news channel (I do not remember which one it was) that ran a poll on this subject TWO years ago. I believe it was something like 55% of the voters said it was a bad idea.. again I am not sure if the channel was American or Canadian.
