can't find anything on this. All sources are two days old and suggest 20 bodies. Please show this is stale-dated
But that’s how they roll, no? They send a recce team to see what’s needed, and where. Then phone home and let the big boys know how we can help, if at all.

so, Samaritans Purse sends a DC8 full of tents the day after the hurricane. On the Sunday it is their B757 full of whatever that lands in Kingston. On Monday there is a full hospital setup complete with OR, ICU and ward space. Meanwhile Canada, with a hell of a lot bigger budget than the Graham's have sends 20 people to look things over and a week later still haven't done a damn thing. Pathetic

Just like the Turkey earthquake two years ago, when the government dithered so much Turkey said not to bother.

Is the UK Ready for War? How Britain's Military Compares

Britain's military and government is officially preparing for a possible war in Europe. The UK's latest National Security Strategy openly talks about "the possibility of the UK homeland coming under direct threat” in a wartime scenario. Britain hasn’t embarked on a strategy like this since the Cold War ended over thirty years ago to bolster its troops, drones, submarines, cyber capabilities and nuclear arsenal.Ukraine, of course, has been living through exactly those scenarios for the past three and a half years. However, Britain’s defence chiefs are deeply uneasy about something else, whether everything from cash machines to the health service or control of our air space could be kept going. How would hospitals handle mass casualties and could the power grid stay online under attack? And how would we even find and train enough people to keep fighting if things truly escalated?
