Canada's Defence Minister Reportedly Engaged to CTV News Exec....

[The Bread Guy]

.... according to the Canadian Press:

It appears Defence Minister Peter MacKay is about to lose his status as one of Canada's most eligible bachelors.

Reports say MacKay has proposed to Jana Juginovic, a CTV news executive who is on a one-year fellowship at Harvard University. The reports say Juginovic replied "yes" when he flew to Boston on the weekend to pop the question. MacKay is 44, and Juginovic is 35. It would be the first marriage for both ....

If true, congrats!

If this relationship sours I suppose the CF is in for some very bad press so you better keep your lady satisfied Pete.  Allow me to share with you the advice my best man gave me:

Remember, it's always your fault

.

Time has proven him right.  Best wishes !

A year or so ago I ran into a woman in our local bakery. She was a producer in CBC TV news and was whining big time about this relationship as it meant CTV got all the good tips and had an inside track for interviews.

Yes, but any tip coming from the Minister would likely be good news about the CF.....so CBC wouldn't use it anyway.
