I think spoofing (if they really we‘re) the CF in campaigns such as that can bring positive awareness to the public.
And the new Canadians that lack the knowledge of CF issues, may now have a say in the neglecting government towards the CF.

a spoof? everyone in that video is a soldier in the CF, and in Kabul, it was filmed when "christmas in kabul" with Rick Mercer was made(most likely) and what they were saying is true, well except maybe the "wearing brown camo in a green jungle",

I did indeed see "Christmas in Kabul" The clip was not a commercial. It was not a video Journal. So yes. A spoof.
Giving the true nature of which the soldiers spoke and in the spoof of the beer add. I conclude it is a spoof.
It is conceivable that someone would miss understand. Nonetheless, it promotes awareness for a negative issue with positive a manner.
