If the link does not work just type in para paras chinook Canadian Gagetown Parachuting into the search engine.

wicked.

I seem to recall seeing one of the "shorter" JMs, from PEI, at CFLRS last month...he was an injured PI when I did my course in '92 and on Day 1 of the course, he hobbled over on a (IIRC) broken left foot to introduce himself, as he heard there was an Islander on the English serial.

listenign to the breif.....

you guys boarded a CH-47 aircraft.........not a CH-147  ;D

Actually it is neither. It is an American Chinook. What is their designation?I forget.

If you get the chance, ask him what PEI math is.  Don't talk to him too long though, or he'll get you to help him do work on his new house.

In the US system the letter before the "H" indicates the role of the Helo, thus :

C= Cargo / Transport
U= Utility
S= Anti-submarine warfare
A= Attack
M= Special Operations
H= SAR/CSAR
E= Electronic warfare
O= Observation

Therefore:

CH-47 would be the basic cargo version of the Chinook, HH-47 would be the CSAR version and MH-47 would be the special ops version.

C or M or 1 or 47 or 147,still a neat video.

We call them twirly-wigs.Or chummy-riggens.

Awesome video.
