Current Production Plans
16 ft GARCs being produced at a rate of 32 per month
20 m Saildrone Surveyors being produced at a rate of 1 per month
USN requested proposals for autonomous 59 m 700 tonne Fast Supply Vessels in July 2025 with a deadline of August 2025 under the MASC programme. Ships to be in the water late 2026 / early 2027. Dozens to be procured.
GARC = Global Autonomous Reconnaissance Craft (RIB)
MASC = Modular Autonomous Surface Craft (FSV)
Saildrone = Manufacturer of sail powered reconnaissance craft with supplement solar and wave power
MUSV-ISR = Medium Unmanned Surface Vessel - Intelligence Surveillance and Reconnaissance - Experimental Trimarans now on active duty
OUSV = Overlord Unmanned Surface Vessel - Original experimental 59 m FSVs from the Overlord program now on active duty
LRUSV = Long Range Unmanned Surface Vessel - 12 m launch
ALPV = Autonomous Low Profile Vessel - inspired by Narco Subs - for logistical support of USMC stand-in forces in the Indo-Pacific
MANTAS - 3.6m USV
Devil Ray - 11.2m 80-100 knot USV
Also in service is the USNS Appalachicola - a Spearhead class catamaran - 103 m and 2400 tonnes. Passed its sea trials under autonomous control.
Seems to be a lot of movement on the drone fronts.
And, as noted the Brits are moving fast as well
In 2024 they allocated 4.5 BUKP over 10 years for MCM, ISR, Log and OWA drones
In 2025 they allocated a further 4 BUKP over 5 years for supply of drones
In 2025 they also allocated a further 1000 drones for Ukraine (FPVs, OWAs, CUAS Interceptors and ISR)
And the UGVs are not left out
A 45 MUKP Arx Robotics plant to produce 1800 UGVs a year.

Comms seem to be reliant on one or more systems and Starlink.
