Canadian soldier’s death probed at CFB Borden

FYI - This was Pte (William) Fletcher who passed away while on a training exercise at CFB Borden with RCEME. William Wallace Malcolm Fletcher | Beechwood
He was found with 3 rounds to his chest (223 rounds found near his body).
Do you have a source for that? You’ve signed up on this site in the past half hour, with a username based off his name, immediately posting a claim that he was shot three times. Clearly you have a reason for doing so. Can you please be transparent about where you’re sourcing your claim from?

I'll echo this.

Yes, I have direct knowledge of the case. The military did not want anyone to know how Pte (William) Fletcher passed away and did not want it known that there were 223 rounds found at the scene. As you can see from the initial news and statements from the Military, they never released his name. The email account tied to my username is my account.

I fully know the difference between .223 and 5.56. That's one of the interesting facts about this death. The NATO standard for the C7 is 5.56

Ok, but what I asked is your source for this information? Anyone can claim to have direct knowledge but what sort of documented source do you have for these claims? Because what you’re alleging suggests, at minimum, manslaughter with non-CAF ammunition. I doubt RCEME would be doing much in terms of dynamic/field firing ranges at CFB Borden. You have made an extraordinary claim and it requires some pretty extraordinary evidence to back it. You also have not stated your purpose in posting this.

A lot of us here have seen a LOT of bullshit over the years; some innocent, some nefarious. You’ll find a lot of cautious and healthy skepticism here. I, and probably others, would like to know where you’re coming from.

Then you know the Military does not provide information unless somehow you can get them to court or you have a link to the immediate family (which I do). The Military is stating as normal that no information can be given due to privacy issues (ATIP) included for 20 years.
I just noticed that many members of the Military having been passing away and you will find a common trend -> The Military refuses to provide any information. From my personal knowledge the investigation was not done properly for Pte Fletcher and the Military needs to start handing these case over to the Civilian Police to investigate.
