Canadian Source for MREs/IMPs?

Canned bacon; Awesome.  Canned bacon and eggs; Awful.  The Vienna sausage rocked, though.
Mmm... Vienna sausage.  What a treat!  Named for Vienna, a wonderful city in Austria.  It is known in its native tongue as "Wien".  Of course, "Vienna Sausage" in the native tongue of Austria would be "Wiener".

Yep, hot dog wiener.  I love how we Anglos make normal food into some fancy-shmancy stuff, when it's just "beaks and bums" ;D

I never heard the term Vienna Sausage till i saw an IRP.  They were always called cocktail wienies when I was a kid.

I once brought some IMP home to show the kids when they were small.  One packet was lung, I opened it up and squeezed it upwards.  The kids being little and ignorant of what they were doing, took bites of it cold.  They ate them and came back for more, squealing with delight... or that might have been pain.  I was both grossed out and horrified at the same time.

Jim, I liked the baked orange dessert.  What I miss from the old canned rations is the tin of cheddar cheese.  And the Deviled Ham too.  Was great on the crackers.

The 'Omelette with Mushroom Sauce' was my absolute preference of the breakfast meals I had.  It tasted pretty bland both cold and warm, and came with 'Breakfast Cereal #3"!

Costco also lists MREs at slightly higher prices than the above.

In Case Of also sells the Eaterz MREs.

It looks like they are out of stock temporarily, though.  :crybaby:

Spoke to the company and they say Eaterz is repackaging so they should have it soon or they will bring other brands in.

Too bad that the Thrive Freeze Dried food doesn't come with a packaged MRE. They sure look interesting:

Can you give some more details?  The wife is barking at me to get some stockpiles done before Hurricane season.
