Changing Trades Before Joining

Let me preface this post by saying that I did a thorough search for the answer to this question, but unfortunately I could not find an answer.

Two months ago I put in my application to join the CF. My top 3 choices were Signal Operator, Combat Engineer, and Artillery. One month later I went in for the CFAT, Interview and Medical, and everything went very smooth. But now after some time reading this message board and talking to people in the army I have felt like going infantry might be the better choice for me.

Now we get to my question. Would it be possible to change my preference for jobs during the application process? (The status of my application now is that its being reviewed by the CMO). If it is possible to change now would I have to go through another interview? Thank you for taking the time to read this, hopefully someone will have some information.

I agree, I definitely will give them a call in the morning. I was just hoping that someone here might have experienced something similar to this and could chime in at this late hour. But thanks for the comment. (Very much not sarcasm by the way.)

I had my original selection changed no problem. Give them a call for sure, as long as you qualified on the CFAT it wont be a problem.

That's really good to know, thank you. So even this far into the process it would still be possible to change trades? I don't think the CFAT score would be a problem since the interviewer said I was qualified for all the trades I applied for. I might actually go in tomorrow in person, since I'm not doing anything else.

You aren't changing trades, you are asking the CFRC to change your MOC choices.  Meaning...you haven't even got to the Conditional Offer of Enrollment yet.  Effectively, you don't "have" a trade yet.

Follow what CdnAviator said...call CFRC with your request to make Infantry your 1st MOC preference.  Soonest.

Speaking from personal experience, I don't think this is a problem.  I was applying Int O as my first choice, and Sig O was my second.  After I didn't get through the first Int O board, I switched to first choice Sig O to accelerate my entry into the CF.

I had only two choice...935 and 911

And..after talking to a few people, I change to 911 and then 935 and...well im not in yet...but they did not have a problem with it.
