I am posting this here because I could not access the Admin board.

This is directed a Mike, have you ever thought about starting a general "chat" room?

That would be pretty good if there was a chat room here
It would attract more people.
and people would et whatever questions they have answered quickly rather then have to post it up and wait for somone to answer

I‘ll see if I can learn about (and set up) and IRC channel here. Any IRC gurus out there? I‘ve never even used it before...

Mike - You (or anybody) can logon to IRC and form a channel anytime. To have the fullblown moderated channel with ops, etc., takes a little more doing. Folks can download MIRC, PIRCH, or IRCLE (for Mac users). I like the Undernet. Contact the administrators on any server, or through the Undernet, and they can get you started. If people want, I can look into this. I used to hang out on IRC a lot.

Muskrat‘s right, setting up a full blown server is pretty intense. Got part way into the process and realized that I was totally overwhelmed...

I‘m not totally out of ideas yet, but it‘s not looking good for running IRC here (and by the sounds of it, that‘s not required anyway...)

Just go into an existing server, ie DalNet, UnderNet or whatever and set a channel...
I don‘t find it that hard...

Bedpan Elemental is correct, it is very easy to make a channel.

I have my own channel on gamesnet with a ChanServ bot in there. Stop by and check it out sometime.
